Technology Solutions and Data Security is delivering the Data and Digital Reform Agenda, which focuses on meeting the departments data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
What will the role do?
The Solution Architect is responsible for the architecture and design of the Financial Management System solution as part of an integrated platform suite.
With a strong background in public sector finance business systems and functions, the role will derive system/technical requirements from business requirements and deliver a fit for purpose Solution Architecture in line with the strategic program architecture objectives.
Some key accountabilities include:
- Lead the planning, development and execution of Solution Architecture, systems design and common functional services using appropriate methodologies and tools.
- Facilitate workshops and engage extensively with business and technical staff to elicit requisite information required to develop Solution Architecture and design specifications.
- Produce detailed Solution Architecture, component specifications and designs for implementation using selected products, ensuring consistency of design and adherence to appropriate standards and requirements across multiple program initiatives.
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Proven experience and expertise in the development and execution of Solution Architecture and design specific to distributed cloud solutions Pega (Platform, Customer Service), Oracle OIC, Oracle FMS SaaS, Informatica MDM, Informatica Integration, and Dynatrace.
- Strong demonstrated knowledge and hands on end to end implementation experience in Oracle ERP Cloud Financials - General Ledger, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Cash Management.
- Proven experience working on a complex ICT transformation program or delivery program in a large organisation (preferably within a government department).
