AI Operations Manager

OverviewOur large Government client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager (level 5) to join their team, based in Canberra. You will be responsible for maintaining the plan of action, deliverables and schedule activities for the project. The PM will work closely with the Lead to report the activities through Jira and Confluence. The PM will support the constant and ongoing engagement with the provider. The position is also responsible for ensuring that outcomes are reported to the project at large, including the work in Automation using AI/ML.Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

• Ensure that work undertaken in the program is reported in to the design decisions, documents and materials in the project.
• Address and align technical scope and approach across requirements, architecture, and design artefacts with consistency of messaging, and upholding artefact standards.
• Participate in Project forums that have people with wide ranging mix of project skills.
• Review documentation developed for the project in the light of the deliverables.
• Draft and/or coordinate executive briefing material that fall within your knowledge of the deliverables.
• Provide PM reviewer services for documentation produced from the architecture, engineering, test and evaluation, security and technical delivery teams.
• Provide PM advice and briefing artefacts for Technical Stream matters, as requested by the Technical Stream Lead.
• Ensure documentation standards are defined, understood across the Technical Stream, and met.
• Collaborate with program strategic writers and provide input to program level documentation to ensure alignment with technical artefacts.
• Review of Technical Stream artefacts.
• Review and maintain the status of Technical Stream items in the artefact register.
• Critically review artefact development plans to the requirements of the Capability Policy Framework.
• Review and maintain issues, risks, and decisions in project registers.
• Participate in project gate reviews and design approvals.
• Support the clear definition of artefact production processes, including facilitating pre-work scoping of documentation requirements.

Location and Contract Term
The role is based in Canberra ACT, with a contract term of 12 months.Security Requirements
