Due to our continued success and growth, we are seeking an Operations Manager to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in Canberra ACT. This is a full-time permanent role.
About the role
Manage overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labour, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department.
Duties and responsibilities
- Direct and manage plant operations for production, maintenance, quality, planning and dispatch, and receiving.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Manage and monitor branch safety conditions to ensure full WH&S compliance and to reduce the incidence of work-related injury to employees.
- Develop operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; develop, implement, enforce, and evaluate policies and procedures; develop processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and transport.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Cooperate and actively contribute to the quality, environment and workplace health and safety management by complying with relevant Standards of Business Conduct, policies, procedures, and guidelines incorporated into the Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018).
