Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprenticeship The Opportunity Partnered with our host, Gordon Brothers Industries, we are looking for 2 Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Apprentices who are looking to start their careers in a thriving industry, while completing a UEE32220 Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. These positions are full-time and based in Acacia Ridge. Job Details Gordon Brothers Industries is an industry leader in industrial refrigeration and has been providing design, construction, servicing, and parts to clients Australia-wide for over 100 years. They deliver solutions that are reliable, cost effective, safe, energy efficient and environmentally conscious. The work is predominantly site work and will include the occasional night away to complete work that is not in Brisbane. You will be mentored by industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and working all over the Brisbane region. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting the technicians to service and maintain large industrial units Installing pipework Hanging evaporators Mounting units on site Learning to read plans and technical drawings Benefits Full-time 4-year contract including paid annual and personal leave Paid weekly Access to 1:1 mentoring Opportunity to access Govt subsidy payments of up to a total of $5000 for the first 2 years of your apprenticeship paid in 6 month instalments About You You must have good mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, the ability and confidence to ask questions, a positive attitude, and a keen interest in mechanical workings. If you have some previous experience in a similar work environment, some hand and power tool experience or maybe have completed a Certificate II in Engineering that would be looked upon favourably, as this role is very mechanically orientated. In addition to these qualities, you will: Have a driver's licence, P Plate minimum Have a construction White Card (or be willing to get one) Be safety-minded Be well presented Have excellent listening skills and able to follow instructions Have the ability to pass a Medical, Drug and Alcohol, and Police Check Apply
