Overall Role Purpose
AFR Export Operations Specialist is responsible for:
- Processes manages, and distributes all required documents in the export shipping area.
- Performs pickup arrangement.
- Ensures customer requirements are met and documents are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Undertakes a full range of duties under limited supervision. Will have clearly defined procedures in the movement and administration of goods in warehouses i.e., including carton labelling & customer loading interactions for Life Science
- Creates and manages export booking.
- Creates/confirms transport order to ensure pickup of the shipment at origin.
- Performs booking and booking optimization.
- Prepares, controls, and distributes all required Export documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.)
- Checks responses from counterparts and finalizes validation of required documents.
- Follows up shipment status in the Export area, identifies incidents, and ensures resolution of incidents.
- I am using the DGF tools provided to manage shipment visibility and profitability.
- To be able to cross-train in various aspects of the export department to provide support when needed.
- Tertiary qualified or an equivalent qualification (Preferred by not mandatory)
- Minimum two (2) – four (4) years of previous experience/knowledge of Airfreight /Freight Forwarding exposure.
- Sound administrative skills.
- Results-driven and attention to detail.
- CargoWise system experience /exposure advantage
- A high degree of reliability and diligence
- Be a collaborator with a positive can-do attitude.
- Be results-driven and be able to demonstrate effective communication and administration skills.
- Possess a high degree of mindfulness and a professional work ethic.
