Our client, a 5-star Japanese airline is seeking candidates for the Airport Officer/Ground Staff to be responsible for their ground handling operations at Sydney Airport. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent customer service skills and have previous experience in a similar role.
Description
The key responsibilities and duties:
- Supervise ground handling operations and ensure the safety of passengers and on-time arrival and departures of flights.
- Assist passengers during the check-in, departure and arrival process in a professional and friendly manner.
- Attend passengers' special needs.
- Comply with all safety procedures and airline policies
- Handle administrative and office support tasks
- Other duties as requested
Profile
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Japanese language skills a great advantage but not a must.
- Interest in Japan, Japanese culture or language is a must.
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and a great team player
- Previous experience in a similar role in the airline industry will be highly regarded
- Must be physically fit to perform the duties of the job
- Work hours are 7.5 hours shifts (30min break) between 7:30 am -10:00 pm
- Shifts including weekends and public holidays.
- Must be able to work extended hours when required
