Operations Manager - QLD (Logan Gold Coast, NSW Northern Rivers)
We have an exciting opportunity for a high potential leader with strong people and transformational skills to take the next step in their career.
As the Zone Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of the State Leadership Team, delivering strong business performance through the implementation of strategic plans in line with our objectives, while ensuring operational excellence through leading, coaching and influencing a team of six Group Managers across 65 supermarkets.

What you'll do
This role is large in scale with accountability for the engagement and leadership of a diverse and inclusive team of approximately 7500 team members. Along with managing multi-million dollar weekly trade, you will set a clear vision for the desired customer & team culture in the zone and build strong relationships with the community. You will also:
- make data led decisions with a curiosity and willingness to explore data and predictive analytics to unlock efficiencies and drive performance
- build a team of inspiring leaders to motivate and coach our Store Managers and store teams to always strive to delight customers
- support zone leadership team to connect with strategic priorities and understand the requirements for delivering the strategy
- identify and develop a talent pipeline for the future, with the ability to lead through and connect across boundaries to drive systemic change
- a willingness to travel to stores in remote areas, with occasional interstate travel required and bringing your different styles of leadership to adapt to the varying locations.
What you'll bring
We are looking for an inspirational senior leader aligned with our values and ways of working, that can bring strategic thinking and commercial acumen to guide effective business outcomes. You will also bring:
- strong engagement, influencing skills and change leadership skills with executive presence, challenge the status-quo
- proven multi-site capability at large regional operations management level
- transformational approach able to flex with the complexities of the business.
- extensive retail operations experience (supermarket experience would be an advantage)
