The Role
AOD Youth Workers will work across various shifts in the day to day activities to the Integrated Youth Substance Misuse Specialist Service (Alban Place).
Alban Place is a 24 hour service with an integrated model of care for young people aged 12 – 24 years of age experiencing substance misuse issues. The service includes:
- Sobering Up services for young people who require a safe place to sober up.
- A live-in Residential Rehabilitation treatment program for young people wanting intensive support to address their Alcohol or Other Drug use
- Outpatient Counselling Service
What you need to bring
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check. (previously known as ‘Child-Related Employment Screening Clearance’)
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or equivalent
- Current First Aid Certificate
- The ability to work across a 24/7 roster
- Work experience in the community services sector
- Experience in working with young people
- Experience working with individuals impacted by Alcohol and Other Drug use
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- SCHCADS Award 2010 Level 3, $36.00 per hour (+25% casual loading)
