Allied Health Administrative Officer Full-Time – Headstart Gawler

Do you have medical administrative experience and want to join an ever-growing, supportive team? 

We are a private psychology, speech pathology and occupational therapy organisation with two practices located at Wayville and Gawler.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated individual to join our professional team who specialise in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

The position would be in a full-time capacity at our Gawler office with the ability to cover holidays and assist at Wayville on occasion.

Position duties include the following: 

• Address all incoming telephone and client enquiries 
• Allocating patient appointments across the practice locations and clinicians
• Organising & dealing with incoming referrals from GP’s and Paediatricians
• Sending out appointment confirmations
• Keeping our referral database up to date
• Assisting the clinicians with their bookings and administrative matters
• General reception duties 

The person we are looking for will need to:

• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have the ability to pay strong attention to detail
• Have excellent time management and organisational skills
• Be able to work well independently and also operate effectively in a team environment
• Be able to listen to instructions and complete tasks required in a timely and accurate manner
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work under pressure at busy times
• Hold a current drivers licence 
• Current Working With Children Clearance & NDIS Worker Screener Check

Medical administration experience is essential.  Zero experience need not apply

Knowledge of Pracsuite software would also be desirable but not essential.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Practice Manager.
