The Y is seeking vibrant individuals to join our Health and Recreation team on a Casual basis!
The Role:
The Allied Health Administrator is a key member of the Health, Fitness and Recreation team primarily responsible for providing administration support and excellent customer service to a wide variety of clientele. This role requires a focus on developing strong professional relationships with gym members, club participants, committees and external stakeholders to achieve the goals of the Y. The programs supported by this role include the Chifley Health and Wellness Centre, Paddle Hub, YMCA Sailing Club, and RAID Basketball all of which are community focused and inclusive of diverse populations, including older adults and people with disability.
Hours Required:
· Varied between 7:30am-6pm, Monday to Friday.
Skills, knowledge and experience required:
· To be successful in this role, the Health, Fitness and Recreation Administrator will be a community minded individual with a client orientated focus. The incumbent will:
· Have a passion for physical activity through fitness and sport preferably with experience working in a Allied Health setting.
· Have strong administrative skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to prioritise competing priorities and improve efficiency through creative problem solving
· Be personable and well-presented developing strong working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders
· Be comfortable communicating at all levels through both written and verbal means
· Model an inclusive environment engaging all people including older adults, people with a disability and a range of clientele with a diverse background
· Have the ability to work as part of a dynamic team
About you:
· Some experience in an Allied Health setting will be highly regarded.
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Must have completed a Senior First Aid certificate.
· Working with Vulnerable People Registration
· Current First Aid/CPR Certificates
· Current Driver’s License
