Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Allied Health Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide support and assistance to patients in all industries. Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care, including but not limited to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
- Provide support to patients during therapy sessions, including setting up equipment, monitoring progress, and providing encouragement.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, including the proper handling and disposal of medical equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a rehabilitation or therapy environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
