About the role
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Occupational Therapy and on occasions Physiotherapy staff, performing duties which will contribute to the provision of clinical services that support the achievement of patient goals.
The position is full time and may involve some weekend and Public Holiday Work.
The successful applicant will demonstrate genuine enthusiasm in the role and will work to uphold patient dignity and independence. As a strong communicator the Therapy Assistant will collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Your main duties will include:
- assisting therapists with patients both on an individual and group basis
- following through with patient treatment plans as set by therapists
- prepare and maintain equipment and perform associated administrative tasks
- transportation of patients
About you:
- Current Driver's licence
- Allied Health Assistant Qualification
- Computer Literacy skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
