This newly created position at Moregate Biotech is a multi-disciplined commercial role, focusing on high level Key Account management (direct engagement and support, service excellence and sales management) of our highly valued customers.
Role overview
This is a key strategic client-oriented role, focused on delivering continual success in our domestic and international business. This role requires a person with; a high level of experience in customer service, sales and negotiation, effective communication between internal and external stakeholders, independent thinking, strategic initiative, high level of attention to detail, knowledge of our products and application, understanding of industry quality systems, collaborative nature and ability to work independently.
Critical skills required to deliver success in this role are; excellent communication and organisational skills, Key Account management leadership, extensive sales management experience, independent decision making, highly effective communicator, collaborative and supportive in nature, good at problem solving and a strategic thinker with a high attention to detail.
This role will be in Brisbane (Bulimba - Head Office) and is strictly a work from office role, and the successful candidate will be required to travel internationally for period of up to 10 days. A valid passport will be essential for this role. Some intestate travel may be required from time to time.
The successful candidate has experience in Key Account management, sales management, ideally in the biosciences industry. A background in science will be seen as favourable.
A day in the life……
This role will contribute towards sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success. This will be achieved by the following key role and responsibilities;
- Act as a first line key contact for all domestic and allocated international accounts.
- Develop trusting relationships with key clients to ensure long term positive relationship and business success.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and building their trust
- Expand relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal stakeholders
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships and business growth
- Manage CRM system where required for customer engagement
- Assist in managing tender requests, product supply to orders fulfillment and other related commercial activities
- Provide support to Logistics Manager and learn process of exporting product to international customers
- Support and manage product related enquiries to include technical questions, product supply and material selection, reservation, and inventory management
- Administrative support for product management including documentation, material reservation and release, internal systems process, invoicing
- Managing freight quotation and delivery to customers and follow through
- Prepare regular reports, maintain customer engagement activities in CRM database, provide client progress and forecast updates to internal stakeholders

- Proven experience as a successful Key Account Manager
- Strong leadership skills when approaching customers and employees
- Experience in sales and providing solution based selling to meet customer needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude for building relationships
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong ability to recognise priority focused management
- Natural ability in problem-solving and negotiation
- High level computing skills to include Microsoft Word (word, Excel) and experience in using a CRM database platform in previous roles.
