Allied health assistant

Recognised as one of Australia’s leading private hospitals, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Sydney is a tertiary level acute care medical, surgical and rehabilitation facility. The 310-bed hospital works with patients and their families to serve the community through excellence in care, teaching and research. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring and personable physiotherapists to provide evidenced based clinical services to inpatient and outpatients as part of our rotational roster.  

Selection Criteria:

1. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation. 
2. Ability to work independently under the delegation of an Allied health professional and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team..
3. Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
4. Identify skills and knowledge in the provision of assistant's activities to provide support for Allied health staff, clients, and families as required.
5. Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising clinician.
6. Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
7. Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays

Desirable Criteria:

1. Previous experience working in hospital rehabilitation setting including manual handling equipment and hydrotherapy
