Brunswick Private Hospital is a 124-bed rehabilitation, general medical and Mental Health facility with extensive outpatient and community based services. Opportunities exist for dedicated Allied Health Assistants to join our multidisciplinary team on a casual basis. We offer a number of flexible shift options (including shorter days and/or school hours, weekends) and welcome newly graduated candidates. Successful applicants must have weekday availability.
The clinical casemix includes rehab in orthopaedic, multi-trauma, pain management, cardiac, neurological conditions and oncology in both inpatient and outpatient departments. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a variety of clinical conditions, whilst being well supported by senior staff and educational programs. At times, you may be required to assist in our hydrotherapy pool.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistant
- Competent with facilitating group therapy, supporting physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy interventions.
- Highly motivated, accountable and enthusiastic
- Passionate about patient care and achieving quality clinical outcomes
- Committed to professional and team development, ability to engage all members of the multidisciplinary team
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills
Preferable:
- Experience in a Private Rehabilitation Hospital setting
- Computer proficient
- An understanding of cultural diversity
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
