Allied Health Assistant - Sunnybank Private Hospital. Full time
We want you to work within our Allied Health team at Sunnybank Private. Do you want to provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of a high quality rehabilitation and acute services?
As an Allied Health Assistant your responsibilities will include:
- Support members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of clinical care to patients/families
- Work under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists to help clients achieve their rehabilitation goals
- Assist with transfers, mobility and transport of patients
- ADL retraining including showering, dressing, toileting and task retraining activities
- Set up and cleaning of a variety of equipment used for patient care and of environment
- Participate in quality improvement activities and initiatives
- Supervise/assist exercise programs devised by the treating Allied Health team

Selection Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology roles
- Experience working with or providing care to frail/aged/disabled people in a health care setting or a basic understanding of exercise programs
