Allied Health Assistant (AHA-3) in
Geriatrics in the Home (GITH).
Geriatrics in the Home (GITH) is a hospital substitution service, which offers an alternative approach to delivering in-patient care and treatment to Older People with
in their own home environment. The service offers specialist assessment and therapy from Geriatricians, Nurses, and
Allied Health clinicians in a goal orientated, time limited program. Patients admitted to GITH receive between one and three home visits per day from members of the multidisciplinary team depending on the person's goals.The
Allied Health Assistant is responsible for assisting
in the provision of
Allied Health services for patients of the
Geriatrics in the Home service, including delivering clinical services under the supervision of an
Allied Health Professional. In addition, the
Allied Health Assistant is required to assist with preparation of therapy resources and maintenance of a tidy and safe work area, which contributes to the running of effective
Allied Health services.To be eligible for this position, you must have:Educational/Vocational Qualifications
- Certificate 4 in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent
