About the role
Eastern Health is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Allied Health Assistant to join our Continuing Care team aligned to Allied Health service delivery.
This Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant offers great opportunity working closely with the broader multidisciplinary team in delivering diverse patient care.
The Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant will be actively involved in regular clinical supervision aligned to Eastern Health expectations and guidelines and be a member of the Allied Health Assistant workforce across the continuum of care including participation with the Eastern Health AHA Professional Development program.
As with all Eastern Health Grade 3 Allied Health Assistant roles there may also be opportunity for active engagement with the AHA student program
About you
To be successful in this role you should possess:
Essential:
- Completion of Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistant) from a registered training organisation, or recognised equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Grade 2 Allied Health Assistant Well-developed verbal & written communication skills to enable effective liaison with multidisciplinary team including effective clinical handover
- Well-developed clinical competence and sound theoretical knowledge base relevant to the workplace
- The ability to receive delegation of tasks from supervisory staff and work effectively in an inter-disciplinary/multidisciplinary team
Desirable:
- Experience working in the public health or disability sector
