Desert Therapy are looking for self-driven and creative Allied Health Assistants to join our team.
We have multiple positions available.
This is a full time Allied Health position based in Alice Springs and you will join our multidisciplinary team.
Not only do we work in town, but we also fly and drive to remote communities to provide therapy in a variety of settings. This position is mostly based in Alice Springs, with the possibility of some remote work.

About the Role:
- Conduct and Assist with the implementation and evaluation of established individual therapeutic programs, as delegated by the Allied Health Clinician.
- Undertake preparation of resources for therapy sessions including set up, pack up and maintaining hygiene procedures of therapy tools/rooms.
- Manage therapy resources including ordering, preparing and maintaining resources in collaboration with the therapy team.
- Completion of some office or admin based duties as required.
Required competencies:
- Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children’s card (NT) or National Police Clearance.
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft and Apple applications.
- Current Visa, residency or citizenship to work and live in Australia.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to work independently and to take initiative.
- Self-motivated as well as a creative, innovative and engaging approach to service provision.
- Willingness to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Capacity to follow a therapy program developed by clinicians.
- Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks.
- Willingness to engage in Iife-long learning.
- An understanding of the NDIS structure, Disability, and working with individuals who present with behaviours of concern will be an advantage.
