Do you align or have interest in any of the following?
- Complete design calculations such as fault current, temp rise, cable selection, protective device selection
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards with a particular focus on the AS61439 series, AS3000, AS3008 and AS3010.
- Review designs in line with Water Authority, Council and Australian Standards & Specifications
- Review project costings, scope of works, tender documentation, client specifications etc.
- Assist in maintaining design process, tools and standards that meet customer and industry quality requirements and maximises the efficient re-use of previous design efforts.
- Complete Electrical Designs and tasks
- Create and respond to comment registers
- Undertake project completion reviews to assess performance against baselines, customer needs etc. and provide insights to both the Sales and Estimating
- Be accountable for the successful outcome of all projects you are involved in. Ensuring commercial success, and compliant and functional designs.
- Develop technical documentation and drafting of detailed design drawings
- Assist the switchboard manufacturing team with technical queries.
Desirable qualifications for the position:
- Able to plan and deliver on your commitments with autonomy and across multiple projects simultaneously (essential);
- Degree qualified in respective principals
- Registered engineer or eligibility to become registered
- Demonstrated experience working as an electrician or electrical engineer with specific focus on Australian Water Industry
- Excellent written & verbal communication;
- 2+ years in switchboard manufacturing
