Job description

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families?  Do you want to work in a dynamic team, working systemically with families, school, peer, and community ecologies?  Have a passion for CBT and Family Therapy?  Then come join our Multisystemic Therapy team!

We are seeking dynamic and passionate clinicians or MST Practitioners, to join our MST team in the North.

You don’t need to be a current MST Practitioner to apply!  We will provide ongoing training and intensive supervision to help upskill you to practice from this highly evidence-based framework.  In fact, ongoing learning and development are key attributes of a what makes a great MST Practitioner.

With a motto of “whatever it takes”, MST is an innovative, evidence-based program that empowers young people involved in offending and other antisocial behaviour and their families to build the skills to achieve positive, long-term changes and improved life outcomes.

An MST Practitioner is driven, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and has the skills to deliver evidence-based treatment to young people with complex presentations and their families.  With ongoing access to training and support, and weekly supervision as a core aspect of MST, working in a small team you will share CAMHS’s vision of providing quality, accessible, consumer-centred mental health care to some of Tasmania’ s most vulnerable young people.

Interested but want more information?  Visit MST Services | Multisystemic Therapy for Juveniles for further information about the MST program, including the evidence supporting the success of MST across Australia and internationally.

The Role:

  • Adhere to the MST model, establishing strong engagement with families and other key supports in the family, school, and community.
