About The Role
In an exciting role as Allied Health Professional - Occupational Therapist working across Community and transactional care.
Be an integral part of our Allied Health team, helping to shape the direction for Allied Health within the organisation
Work closely with the Allied Health Team Leader, and Allied Health Professionals, Site Care manager and other Clinical team members within Community and Transactional care.
Work closely with other members of the health team, to identify client care needs, plan interventions and review outcomes of care
Supporting residents and client to achieve their individual goals
Get to work with a growth mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement activities within the organisation
Provide clinical support to the Transitional Care and Community program teams and act as an escalation point
Provide oversight of external provider’s clinical assessments and equipment prescription
Facilitate group programs as directed by treating therapist and support Leisure and Lifestyle program on site
About you
Relevant qualification in an Allied Health profession (Occupational Therapy degree or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in area of expertise
New OT qualified degree graduates are encouraged to apply
Current registration with relevant registration authority as per legislation
Ability to provide education, support and coaching to direct care employees, clients and their families
Well-developed communication (written and face-to-face) and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers families and direct care employees
Knowledge of the aged care quality standards (desirable)
Leadership experience in residential aged care or home care (desirable)
Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment with the successful candidate requiring the current Flu vaccination, COVID-19 vaccinations (2 doses and 1 booster). The successful candidate will also require a National Police Check for the purposes of working unsupervised in aged care or NDIS worker clearance.
