Receptionist & Culture Ambassador at Paediatric Occupational Therapy Practice - Motivate Kids!
Seeking a full-time dynamic Allied Health Receptionist to join our incredible team. The successful candidate will be engaging, have strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and will be committed and open to opportunities for continuous improvement within the role.
They will be able to problem-solve, use initiative, think on their feet, and multi-task. They will have a positive mindset and excellent customer service and phone manner and have the ability to connect with children, parents and Allied Health professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming clients and encouraging warm and supportive relationships with parent-carers
- Schedule and confirm appointments for clients
- Answer phone calls, emails and inquiries from families
- Manage client intake and paperwork
- Enter client information into electronic medical records system
- Collect payments for services and process Medicare Claims
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
- Supporting the team of therapists - preparing documents and letters for clients and professionals.
- Maintain a clean and organised reception and waiting area
- Proactively contribute to daily office team meetings
- Engage in process improvement when required to enhance service delivery and customer service
- Meet legislative responsibilities and comply with organisational policies and procedures.
- Be a part of a positive and uplifting team culture
- Preferably to have experience with National Disability Insurance Scheme/ Medicare and HICAPS.
Qualifications & Experiences
- Coordinating administrative functions
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with scheduling and appointment management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus

Screenings & Other:
- Current and satisfactory Department of Human Services Working with Children Check
- Current and satisfactory National Police Clearance no more than 3 years old
- Senior First Aid, CPR, Fire Warden training desirable
- Current Full driver’s license, own vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance
Salary:
Salary depends on skills and experience.
