Shaping Outcomes is currently recruiting for Allied Health professional - Speech Pathology, to join our Trans Disciplinary model of service. This position can be an immediately start for the successful applicant, is Full Time and come with amazing benefits and working conditions.

About the role
Key responsibilities of the role include providing early childhood intervention services and therapies to infants and young children who have developmental delays or disabilities.
Dedication to building the capacity of their families, carers and communities across our region, to promote the child's development and to facilitate successful inclusion across the child's “:Live, Learn and Play” environments.
To be successful in this role
- Genuine desire to provide the best quality care for people with disabilities
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with participants and their families
- Initiative and drive to work independently and as part of a team
- Understanding of privacy and confidentiality issues
- Driver's license and access to a reliable/registered and insured vehicle
- Working with Children Check or Blue Card
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Identified experience in chosen profession (preferred)

These include but are not limited to competency in early childhood development, neurological/physiological diversity, family centred practice, social and cultural diversity, home visiting observing, analysing, reporting, consulting, coaching, mentoring, teamwork, individual intervention, group work, family work, advocacy, mediation and ongoing reflective practice.
The role includes:
- Identify, track and promote the child’s development
- Build a strong team of supports around the child and family
- Provide information, service assistance and guidance
- Advocate for inclusive practices within the child’s community
- Promote emotional well-being around the family as required.
Qualifications —Essential
- Minimum tertiary qualification for Speech Pathology and accreditation with Peak Body
- Knowledge of early intervention strategies and practices as related to evidence based research in the field, , assessment/supports relating to early childhood interventions in early childhood care, child development and brain-based learning research; strong leadership skills, good listening skills, methods of observing, evaluating and recording child behaviour and development; record keeping and report preparation techniques; effective oral and written communication skills, principles and practices of training and providing work direction to others and operation of a variety of office equipment including computers and appropriate software.
- Knowledge of applicable local state, and federal laws, codes, rules and regulations
- Understanding of and commitment to person centred /family centred practices and individualised funding.
- Current drivers licence and own transport

- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- Experience in working with families with diverse backgrounds.
