About the role:

In your role as Analyst you will play a key role in the Project Finance Portfolio Management team and will support the credit analysis and ongoing portfolio management of Project Finance customers within Australia. Your role will be focused on Project Finance (PF) Infrastructure and Resource clients. The role is opened to a Melbourne or Sydney office location.

This role includes a variety of tasks:

  • Management of PF Infrastructure customer credit & portfolio related requests
  • Periodic review of PF Infra and Resource customer credit and risk profiles
  • Supporting the Relationship Managers and Portfolio Leads to manage credit proposals for new transactions
  • Supporting the preparation of client presentations and customer account plans
  • Managing compliance with internal processes and policies and other ad hoc support to the relationship managers.

What you’ll be doing:

Account Management: 

  • Conducting annual credit reviews and internal rating reviews
  • Covenant compliance monitoring
  • Supporting refinancing and other revenue initiatives across the portfolio
  • Coordinating within the MUFG network
  • Client interactions on tasks required for on-boarding and account management
  • Any other required tasks in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures and required to support the broader RUIT business     

Portfolio Management: 

  • Support the Portfolio Management Director in the management of Infrastructure and Resources Project Finance names, including a focus on sector risk / return and other strategic review processes 

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a major domestic bank or chartered accounting firm is preferable. Candidates from credit rating agencies, investment banks, investment management firms or from corporate treasury teams will also be considered
  • Undergraduate Business / Commerce / Law Degree from a leading university is essential.
  • Attention to details
  • Numerical, Excel spreadsheet, research & analytical skills
  • Possess an understanding of financial and economic markets
  • Be able to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally
  • Has strong interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Is a team player
  • Is a self-starter who applies initiative and has drive and enthusiasm
  • Has an analytical mindset and problem solving skills
  • Has the ability to work independently and prioritise a number of tasks across various work streams and alongside a number of stakeholders
