We know that by acting together now, we can create a better Australia for future generations, and that's what you'll be a part of in the Sustainability team.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Analyst to join our team. This role will be key supporting the implementation of the energy alliance with Origin Energy. This is a landmark project that will help Coles achieve ambitious sustainability targets. Working closely with the project team you will be responsible for;

• Working closely with external partnership stakeholders, supporting with development of longer-term strategy and partnership development
• Support Coles Energy Managers in tracking energy certificates inventory balance
• Supporting data collection against program KPIs, also providing technical support to Project managers and administration needs.
• Identifying opportunities and innovations within the Energy portfolio
• Assist with partnership financial reporting, including the tracking of cost savings, revenue, and costs across projects to measure Alliance returns in line with projections
• Assist in contractor management of Coles certificate creator contractor, sourcing data requests and working with relevant project teams
• Assisting with quarterly reporting on project delivery.

About you and your skillsWe are looking for someone with a combination of a strong passion for sustainability with technical experience in excel and project management. This role will have an impact of future sustainability and will require a natural curiosity for ways to improve in areas of sustainability. You will also have;

• Tertiary qualification with strong numerical elements (e.g. finance, IT, engineering, business, law)
• Passion for sustainability, climate change, energy and innovation
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with multiple internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to connect and communicate data with real world events and implications.
• Ability to operate and adapt within a fast-paced culture of change.
• Technical understanding of critical environmental sustainability topics, including climate change and emissions in Australia.
