About the role

The Analyst, Strategic Procurement position within the Finance division's Strategic Procurement team at QIC involves analysing procurement data to offer insights and reporting crucial for strategic sourcing and decision-making, in line with corporate objectives. The role aims to enhance reporting capabilities through continuous improvement and technology utilization, while supporting other procurement and third-party management initiatives. Additionally, the Analyst will engage with business stakeholders to advocate for the governance of Strategic Procurement.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support procurement decision-making with data insights and preparing draft reporting.
  • Track and report key procurement metrics for cost reduction and value enhancement.
  • Manage our Procurement Compliance Oversight Program and our intranet page and prepare newsletters.
  • Develop and maintain documented processes for repeatable reporting.
  • Provide data insights for strategic sourcing and category planning.
  • Monitor supplier risk and support contract registers.
  • Manage annual risk reviews with key suppliers.
  • Assist in implementing strategic ESG initiatives.
  • Conduct audits to ensure governance adherence.
  • Identify and develop continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support for procurement activities.
  • Assist in delivering high-quality training and presentations.

About you

You will be passionate about procurement and possess the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders. You will also have: 

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance or Mathematics.
  • Strong analytical skills which can be translated to understand procurement data to maximise business value, and track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Ability and interest in exploring and adopting new technology and continuous improvement as the team and AI technology grows
  • Ability to draw meaningful insights from data for organizational benefit.
  • Familiarity with using data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Power Apps, and AI applications.
  • Skilled in presenting data insights effectively to the final audience.
  • Experience in drafting newsletters and managing intranet sites.
  •  
  • Exhibits curiosity for learning, commercial curiosity and a passion for professional development.
  • Genuine interest in the field of procurement.
