Animal Shelter Officer

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking skilled staff to join the casual pool of staff at the Shepparton Animal Shelter.
The Shepparton Animal Shelter cares for approximately 2000 lost and surrendered animals per year, with a strong focus on animal welfare and finding them their forever homes.
The role includes ensuring the animals are kept in a clean and hygienic environment, administering medication, enrichment program activities, accurate record keeping, assisting with the adoption program, good observation skills and attention to detail.
The position is ideal for someone interested in advancing their career in the animal care industry or looking to have flexibility for their work/life balance. Council offers generous remuneration and conditions including the opportunity for industry specific professional development.
To be successful in this position, you will have a passion for caring for domestic animals, have experience in an animal related industry and take pride in the work that you do. The hours are flexible and may cover both weekday and weekend rostering.
