Permanent Part Time

ERH services the Shire of Campaspe and the cross-border Murray River Council. Echuca Moama and townships are located directly across the state border from one another, separated by the Murray River.

An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Registered Nurse to take the next step in their career and join the management team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager. The successful applicant will have significant clinical experience, knowledge of theatre, a commitment to the development of the nursing profession, and teamwork.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide, safe and effective evidence based nursing care as part of the clinical team
  • Maintain core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice.
  • Act as a patient advocate
  • Actively participate in in-house education and training programs
  • Practice within a professional, ethical and evidence based nursing framework
  • Support the NUM in providing an effective, high quality and financially efficient service
  • Lead and support nursing staff providing clinical oversight
  • Collaborative team approach within a multidisciplinary team
  • Coordinate resources for each shift including staff allocation and work flow to achieve best possible outcomes for patients 

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Perioperative Certificate and / or perioperative experience and knowledge. (Preferable)
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • MUST be available for on call roster for after hours work including weekends and public holidays.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skill
  • High level interpersonal skills
