Your new company
Join a Queensland Government department on an AO4 contract through until 30th June 2024. Based in Brisbane CBD, this role will be responsible for providing a high level of confidential executive, project and administrative support to the Office of the General Manager.
Your new role
- Providing high quality, confidential support whilst managing the administrative functions associated with the service area, including progressing Ministerial Correspondence for approval, actioning emails, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, briefs and other documents,
- Organising meetings, conferences, seminars, accommodation and travel arrangements.
- Assisting the Office of the General Manager team with project work as required and providing high quality advice to staff at all levels on procedures and administrative standards.
- Working closely with the Executive Officer and Executive Assistant to provide high quality executive support to the executive and other Directors.
- Liaising and building strong relationships with the Office of the Assistant Director -General, key stakeholders within the regions, with officers at all levels within the department, and other public and private sector organisations in relation to the executive’s activities.
- Managing competing priorities and providing consistently high levels of support, given heavy workloads, short deadlines and the need to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
- Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative support to an executive team
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities within tight timeframes with competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to achieve outcomes and influence stakeholders
- Maintain confidentiality, proactively analysing administrative service and system issues, identifying practical and creative solutions and successfully implementing them
