A State Government department are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team with an immediate start
Your new role
- You will be responsible for balance sheet management, maintaining the integrity of the department general ledger through preparation of complex reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality financial statements for the department in compliance with statutory, departmental, and whole-of-government requirements.
- Prepare audit workpapers.
- Contribute to end of month reporting processes by performing financial accounting related tasks.
- Review financial delegations and update as required.
- Maintain chart of accounts, update as required
- Support and assist Financial Services
- Demonstrated experience in a dynamic, busy environment with an ability to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to maintain financial frameworks, guidelines, standards and practices Excellent communication skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, SAP, Tridita, Power Bi experience highly regarded
- You will have a relevant tertiary qualification, be CA or CPA qualified
