16 month temporary contract for a Senior Programs Officer to join a Queensland State Government Department based in Brisbane CBD.
As a key member of the team, you will develop and implement programs and initiatives through engaging with stakeholders and delivery partners, building customer relationships, and administering partnership and delivery agreements and deeds. You and your team will liaise closely with service providers, decision makers at senior levels and other key project stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
As the Senior Programs Officer, you will:
- Conduct high-level research, interpretation, analysis and review of regulatory and policy issues pertaining to program development/delivery activities.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of technical reports, submissions, briefing notes, regulatory instruments, communications and promotional materials, presentations, speeches, publications and correspondence.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of program monitoring, evaluation and reporting to substantiate effective and efficient program governance and appropriate outcomes.
- Manage your allocated workloads, meet deadlines and commitments and complete tasks within a tight timeframe independently or within a team.
- Liaise with multiple internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of programs. This may include delivery organisations, government agencies, staff from key internal and external stakeholder groups and members of the public.
- Identify program risks and issues and develop and implement mitigation measures to effectively manage these.
- Work flexibly and dynamically within a high performing and cohesive team responsible for delivering government energy programs, policy and initiatives.
- Promote an effective working culture by capturing and sharing knowledge and supporting common expectations to develop a sense of collaboration among staff.
- Provide high level support in relation to the procurement of goods and services, including the engagement and ongoing contract management of consultants and professional services contractors and provision of advice on procurement policies and procedures.
