Your new company is a leading community services organisation that runs a local Alcohol and Other Drugs program in Townsville. They require an AOD Case Manager to join their team on a temporary, ongoing basis.
Your new role
Your new role will work within a small team and report to the Facility Manager. Your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Offer comprehensive client support throughout their journey.
- Conduct case management activities, emphasising client needs, community resources, and capacity building.
- Continuously evaluate client needs, including risk assessments and safety planning.
- Provide proactive, reliable emotional and practical support, respecting individual dignity and privacy.
- Create client centred case management plans in alignment with organisational policies and procedures.
- Guide capacity building by providing information and referrals, ensuring clients connect with relevant services and social networks.
- Forge connections with local agencies and support networks, aiding clients’ integration into the broader community.
- Regularly assess case management plans, addressing identified needs and creating new plans as necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum Cert III in AOD, Community Services, or related field
Case management and/ or support work experience
Empathetic approach to care
Availability to work a wide range of shifts
What you'll get in return
