Form of workBrief Summary of role:
The Senior Case manager is responsible for the oversight of referrals, intake screening, assessment, and case management. Delivering a service that provides opportunity for change and recovery with a primary focus on alcohol and other drugs, health management and life skills by providing access to resources, services, workshops and individualised recovery plans and continued care. Using a culturally appropriate approach to support participants to build on existing strengths and capabilities, providing an opportunity for re-empowerment and increased well-being. The position is to provide leadership, supervision, and allocation of participants to Case managers, including training and support to complete external training or qualifications. Ensure that the delivery of Case Management is person centred, culturally appropriate and utilises evidence-based programs, assessment, and measurement tools.
Key Resposibilities:
• Coordinate, with CASE MANAGERs for case conferencing with external services, that will or are providing support to participants, for example Wurli-Wurlinjang and Corrections
• Oversee the quality of the delivery of service to the participants including case management & data entry.
• Case Management back fill
• Take on at least one or two complex clients to support through the program when required.
• Manage the Participant Journey Register with the support of the Case Manager, Senior Program Coordinator, and the Activities Coordinator and provide information for reports when required.
• Support the recovery program by sharing the delivery of program work with AOD staff
• Chair the Review panel meetings and allocate beds.
• Support the CASE MANAGERs in the development of a personalised recovery plans for each client
• Liaise with the Kalano's Director of Social Programs and AOD Manager regarding client numbers and suitability of clients for the program.
Salary and Conditions:
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $75,000 - $96,000 per annum (pro-rata)
Entitlements/Benefits: 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 2 Weeks Sick Leave + 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave + 1 RDO per Month
Location: Venndale Rehabilitation Centre (located 30km from Katherine)
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day [Monday to Friday | 08:00am – 4:30pm]

The successful application should have;
• Certificate IV in AOD or equivalent
• At least 2 years working in the AOD sector
• Cross cultural awareness and effective communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplined client base, including persons who are culturally and linguistically diverse.
• Competent use of Information Technology, including software such as Work, Excel and Outlook
• Experience working with Indigenous persons.
• Knowledge and understanding of case management principles and practices.
• Training or experience in rehabilitation and/or withdrawal services.
• Good time-management skills.
• Current NT Drivers Licence, National Police Check and Ochre Card.
• Valid NT Drivers Licence, Valid Ochre Card and willingness to undergo a National Police Check
