Api Auditor

Intertek is seeking a qualified, experienced and Certified Auditor to join our Industry Services team on an Adhoc basis.
You will be responsible for conducting audits to the requirements of internationally recognized QMS standards including but not limited to ISO 9001, API Spec Q1, API Q2, OHSAS 18001, etc.
Auditing Services conducted in Australia and throughout South East Asia.
 
Skill Set requirements include:
 
- Working knowledge of the following manufacturing processes: Machining – Heat Treatment – Welding – Coating – NDE
- Process based auditing experience (Previous experience in NACE/ IAF Code 17 and 18 is desired)
-  Working knowledge of applicable Management System Standards -  API Spec Q1, API Spec Q2, ISO 9001,(latest editions)
- Reviewing and analyzing technical documentation and experience in referencing to technical standards for requirements such as Material Requirements, Design Requirements etc
- Auditing techniques (ISO 9001, 14001 and / or OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Course, internal auditor training, ISO 19011 training, other lead auditor training.)
- Communicating audit findings to stakeholders
 
Qualifications:
 
- Education- Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent GED with technical training. Desired – University / College (post-secondary) degree in a technical field
- Relevant Trade Certification if applicable
- Previous certification as an auditor from a recognized national or international certification body
- Technical training (ASME inspections, welding, service industry training, etc.)
- Technical and auditing competence that can be verified through referral, references, previous performance evaluation/ observation reports, review of audit and inspection reports, or other documented reporting and evaluation.
 
Technical Experience:
 
- Minimum - 2 years auditing experience OR 2 years professional experience (engineering, project planning, management, supervisory, manufacturing, etc.) OR 2 years of experience that combines auditing and professional.
- Minimum – 7 Years Oil and gas industry experience OR experience in similar equipment manufacturing and/or service industries
- Desired – oil and gas industry experience; or experience with equipment manufacturers or service providers
- Desired - 2 years full time related technical experience relating to specific IAF code categories (17, 18, etc.)
- Desired - Work experience with API Technical Specifications such as API Spec 6D, 6A, 5CT
 
Additional:

- Auditors require to conduct audits at some large facilities and in some instances may be in somewhat remote locations.
- Must be able to work independently and correspond with client facilities and customers as part of the audit process
