Designer

We are seeking a creative, product orientated and highly driven Designer who has experience in Women's apparel.

Kidman & Co, established in 1899, has recently become the custodian of Driza-Bone and Rossi Boots brands. Together, these brands have a legacy of 240 years in the apparel industry. We aim to expand the product offering and grow recognition for the authentic heritage and pioneering spirit around the world.

Key responsibilities include:

• Researching & identifying new product opportunities
• Apparel Product design & Development
• Sourcing and selecting high quality and innovative fabric, trims and finishes
• Working closely with our offshore and local production partners for fabric and accessories sourcing
• Communicating design and manufacturing requirements with local and offshore production partners
• Creating Tech Packs
• Illustration CAD's
• Working with the technical support to fit and develop product to the highest standards
• Constantly striving to improve product, process, and culture

We'd love you to have:

• 5+ years relevant design experience
• Proven experience in a fashion design role within Women's apparel – shirtings, denim, knitwear, outerwear, cut and sew
• Diploma or degree qualification in Fashion Design or related field
• Strong ability to research and implement high quality customer focused apparel
• Excellent skills in Adobe creative suite and excel
• Ability to deliver complex tech packs for products that have a higher degree of complexity
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, planning, manufacturing, and marketing, to bring new products from concept to market
• Strong attention to detail
• Sound technical garment knowledge
• A collaborative team player who can multi task and work efficiently and is happy to adapt to a variety of requirements
