Form of workDynamic business experiencing huge growth and now looking for a Designer or Graphic Designer in Apparel to join the team. You will be commercial, customer focused, driven by passion, perseverance and integrity. The leadership team is supportive and effective, whilst being focused on work-life balance.
You will be working on designs across apparel categories with the opportunity to work with well known brands in the Australian retail marketplace. You will be researching key trends, colours, shapes to create mood boards reflective of the seasonal direction. You will also have the ability to design & create yardage and placement prints.
A hybrid model of working from the office 3 days and at home 2 is also available. Flexibility across your working hours allows you to start & end your day when it best suits you. This is a role for a person ready to move into a dynamic business, focused on design and innovation, commerciality and a workplace culture of support and growth.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following ;
- Experience working in the Apparel industry
- Creativity & the knowledge of fabrications and garment manufacture
- Strong creative graphic design skills in Photoshop & Illustrator
- Previous experience as a Designer / Graphic Designer in an apparel or sleepwear category and an understanding of retail buyer requirements
- Proven ability to liaise with production assistants and garment technicians on executing designs
- The personality and character to work within a fast paced and dynamic environment and work with and across other teams and departments who are key to the delivery of the end product
- The communication skills and ability to research and present mood/storyboards reflective of upcoming seasonal directions
- The ability to grow and develop in an organisation who is constantly looking to improve how they operate
- Self - motivation, resilience and organisational skills
