The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for an Application Administrator (PSL5) and an Application Support Specialist (PSL6) within the Electronic Security System (ESS) Operations section. These roles will be responsible for managing and maintaining critical applications servicing physical security at Australian Parliament House (APH), including but not limited to closed-circuit television (CCTV) applications and Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS).
Our ideal candidate must have experience in diagnosing and resolving complex ICT system faults, strong attention to detail, and a professional emphasis on accuracy and completeness. Additionally, the applicants should have well-developed communication (both written and oral) and time management skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and supervisors.
The suitable candidate should:
- Applicant should have established knowledge of Application Architecture (Back-end, Desktop and Web Applications), System Integration and Application development and deployment life cycles. Some experience in Database management and data transformation (SSMS, TSQL) and Software development (Visual Studio, .NET, C# or other) experiences are desirable.
- Applicants should have demonstrated experience with enterprise application installations, configurations and firmware updates. Familiarity with monitoring and Log analysis tools is preferred.
- Applicant should be familiar with programming and scripting languages (C#, PowerShell). High-level network management and automated testing framework experiences are desirable.
Job Specific Requirements:
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.
- This role requires the applicants to undertake rostered shifts spanning 7:00am to 7:00pm during the parliamentary sitting periods; and participate in an on-call ICT support roster.
