Application Developer

As part of the Development team and working closely with the Co-founders and Co-CEOs and Technical development Lead, this role will manage day to day activities across coding, front/back-end design, database, and server management.

Responsibilities include:

· Troubleshoot application and code issues. (Research and analyse best solutions for evaluating system needs.

· Solve complex issues and have a solution focused mindset.

· Roll out improvements and fixes including testing, debugging and solving errors and issues in applications.

· Use PHP Symfony daily.

· Writing and maintain program code to meet software requirements.

· Manage SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL etc.) and database.

· Perform JQuery, AJAX, JavaScript & HTML/CSS

· Knowledge of React, Angular front end frame works.

· Implement features, fix production errors and redesign of Halaxy application modules.

· Finalizing back-end features and testing web applications.

· Ensure technical documents are well written and organised according to Halaxy internal procedures.

· Updating and altering application features to enhance performance.

· Liaise with multiple team members across UI/UX, testing and service.

· Provide advice and guidance on specific system needs, assess when external plug-in’s and libraries are required and do a cost evaluation of when purchasing external / third party libraries, advising Halaxy on most suitable option.

· Manage database architecture.

Skills, Knowledge & key competencies

· Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.

· 2+ years experience in a similar Application Developer role in the healthcare / tech space

· Knowledge of PHP web frameworks including Laravel / Symfony

· Knowledge of front-end technologies including JavaScript

· Experience with Git/ Github

· Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Angular and React

· Strong logic capabilities and a demonstrated ability to deal with technical and business process complexity.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to motivate and influence behaviours and outcomes.

· Experience creating scalable applications.

· Familiarity with SQL databases.

· Ability to project manage multiple tasks at once.

· Good problem-solving skills.

· High degree of initiative, resourcefulness, personal responsibility, and ownership

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
