Job Description
YOUR ROLE
The role of the Application Developer involves taking responsibility for investigating, improving, and remedying existing software programs to address bugs and data issues. It is crucial that they possess the ability to modify or create new software programs to meet system capabilities in alignment with provided functional and non-functional specifications. Additionally, the Application Developer is required to actively participate in the software development lifecycle, offering support to other team members as needed, including post-implementation support.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Investigate and resolve software bugs and data errors to ensure seamless operation.
- Contribute to requirements and technical designs, adhering to industry standards.
- Develop, configure, and test software programs to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including incident and problem records.
- Support various aspects of the software development lifecycle, including testing, end-user training, and coordination with vendors, ensuring a robust and efficient IT environment.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in .NET and Entity Framework
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders, including school staff, tech teams, and vendors.
- Comprehensive expertise in the software development lifecycle, covering requirements analysis, technical design, programming, testing, and release management.
- Proven track record in producing various technical documentation, including requirements, designs, test cases, reports, incident analysis, and release notes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, showcasing a proactive approach to practical solutions.
- Efficient task and issue management, both independently and in collaboration with team members and vendors, with the ability to escalate conflicts in a timely manner.
This is an Ongoing 1.0FTE position. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 per annum exclusive of superannuation and commensurate with skills and experience.
