Initial Contract to 30 June 2025 with up to 2*12-month extensions
Role based in Canberra - 3 days min on site per week
Australian Citizenship + NV1 Security Clearance Mandatory
The Application Developer must have good experience in Javascript technologies.
You will be responsible for providing the following deliverables including but not limited to:
- Developing, improving and maintaining complex applications using:
- React.js for the frontend user interface (UI);
- Springboot (Java) for the backend interface to Open Search and Teradata;
- Azure Pipeline for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD);
- Building reusable components including backend (Springboot) and frontend (React.js) libraries;
- Writing an unit test that performs quality assurance checks against code;
- Producing UI that complies with the department and industry standards;
- Supporting the deployment of application build packages across the test and Production environments
Minimum 5+ years' experience working with JavaScript technologies such as:
- React;
- CSS, Less CSS & HTML;
- JavaScript ES6;
- NPM;
- Typescript;
- Webpack;
- Demonstrated experience in: - Springboot; - Spring Security; - Spring Data JPA; - Web Services (SOAP and RESTful);
- Demonstrated experience in Azure Pipeline and related Azure technologies;
- Demonstrated experience in GIT and Node.js;
- Advance working knowledge of SQL; Database knowledge on Oracle, SQL Server & Teradata
Desirable criteria
- Experience in common delivery methodology such as Agile, Hybrid (Agile + Waterfall), & Waterfall;
- Experience working with an Australian Government Agency, and therefore understands Government ICT policies and procedures relating to software & systems configuration, development and maintenance;
