About the role
As the Application Support Engineer you will provide level 1 technical support for enterprise level applications and systems for their internal and external customers.! You will work closely with an established software development team and will be provided with ongoing training, support and opportunity for growth within the business.
The preferred Application Support Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Provide technical support to end-users of their enterprise applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user assistance
- Identification and escalation of potential risks.
- Logging and documentation of support issues and requests
- Maintain documentation of support processes and help build a knowledge base of troubleshooting steps and solutions.
- Work in close coordination with software developers to relay user feedback, escalate issues, and aid in the creation of improvements and enhancements.
The successful Application Support Engineer will have experience in the following:
- Demonstrated experience as an ICT Application Support environment.
- Previous experience with Jira Service Desk
- Familiarity of Software Languages (.NET C# and SQL in particular) and Software Development Practices
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
