What you’ll be doing:
The Application Support Officer is responsible for supporting facilities by ensuring all clinical data in eMR and iPM is current and correct to ensure delivery of a high quality service consistent with the specific needs and strategic objectives of Southern NSW Local Health District (SNSWLHD) and Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD).
Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience with using Patient Administration Systems (PAS), especially iPM, within a hospital environment and a demonstrated understanding of hospital business processes.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of patient/client registration and admission processes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the use of patient related information and experience with data reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to utilise initiative and judgement, including the ability to communicate efficiently to the PAS team and local facility staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload, to set and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills with staff at all levels. In particular, must have a patient and tolerant approach to customers especially when operating under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours on a 24 hour roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances.
