Job Title: Application Specialist (Melbourne)
Job Summary:
At revvity we are committed to providing innovative solutions and forging progressive partnerships for a safer and healthier world. To strengthen our Oceania Applications team, we are looking for a Scientific Expert to support our life science and diagnostic solutions. As an Applications Specialist you will be part of a team of specialists supporting our sales account managers and customers across Oceania.
This role will primarily support our automated liquid handler systems and multimode plate readers.
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide training to new customers on revvity workflow solutions focusing on our automated liquid handling systems and multimode detection systems
- Work with customer to develop workflows utilizing these solutions
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for customers
- Support the greater sales team with pre-sales activities including specifying workflow solutions, conducting demonstration, and providing expert scientific advice
- Build customer relationships will be through in-person or virtual consultation with individual customers with respect to their projects & needs
- Assist in the preparation of documents for tenders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering (biomedical sciences, molecular biology, genetics, bioengineering, biotechnology, biochemistry or relevant field)
- +3 years’ experience in research or industry
Desired Qualifications
- Work well in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Enthusiasm for new technology and desire to learn.
- Experience with liquid handling robots and/or desire to do learn.
- Must have a “can do” attitude and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused individual with the empathy and skills to understand and address customer concerns.
- Results-driven with excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Willingness to travel (approximately ~10-25% of time)
- Advanced degree (MSc, PhD) is a plus
