The Role
We are offering a rewarding career opportunity for an Application Support Specialist who is motivated to ensure a high level of quality data processing is delivered in a timely manner, while maintaining high levels of customer service to our clients. The Application Support Specialist is also a key point of contact for all Application Support needs, incidents and requests and carrying out all administrative tasks necessary to maintain continuity of service.
Key elements of the role include: -
- Log all support requests, calls and emails accurately in the designated service desk system
- Creating, reviewing and maintaining detailed SQL scripts for performing key client’s tasks
- Ensure maximum availability of production applications by conducting system health checks, providing timely and effective support and necessary remedial action
- Ensure daily tasks and operations (e.g. SFTP Processes, exports) have completed
- Aid the Business Development section on data and information management related projects, particularly in relation to data quality, extraction and manipulation, and presentation
- Completion of Data Processing jobs, jobs configuration, support tasks, cases and escalations within the agreed SLAs or expected timeframes
- Quality Assurance for software and processed data
About You
Our ideal candidate has successfully completed a tertiary degree, diploma or equivalent training course in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar from a recognised institution; demonstrable knowledge of database management; and can share previous experience in application or technical support.
Knowledge of the following technologies will be required:
- Knowledge of SQL and other similar programming languages such as .Net and HTML
- Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance
