Your Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Bankstown Maintenance Repair Organisation team to gain on-the-job training in fixing and maintaining General and Corporate Aviation aircraft from our experienced engineers.
This 4-year apprenticeship will involve learning on-the-job while attending TAFE to complete the theory aspect of your Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics). On a typical day you will be involved in:
- Performing Aircraft Maintenance including the removal and installation of aircraft components
- Supporting the issue, supply and management of tooling and equipment
- Return, dispatch and ordering of spare parts
- Assisting with creating and updating job work orders
- Housekeeping of the hangar facility
- Completing your apprenticeship schedule of experience journal
What will help you to succeed?
- Commencement or completion of previous Aviation studies (advantageous but not essential)
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work towards maintaining a high-quality standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Good level of eye and hand coordination skills
