About the Role
This is a Fixed Term Full Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Nursing Administraion Workforce Unit.
In this role you will hold direct line management responsibility for the Nurse Administration Workforce Unit (NAW), inclusive of the management of the non permanent casual nurse employees. You will be responsible for the coordination and management of the Nurse & Administrative Workforce Unit, and work closely and collaboratively with Nursing Education and the People & Culture divisions to strengthen recruitment processes and align the nursing profile to workforce gaps and against emerging trends.
Classification for this position will be RN69, CAMPUS DON OF GROUP 8A CAMPUS (FTE base salary $178,521 per annum, plus superannuation)
What you’ll achieve:
- Provide leadership, direction and support to achieve RCH’s strategic objectives, the Nursing Roadmap plan, and key Nursing Workforce deliverables
- Develop Nursing Workforce plans and forecasts to respond to workforce demand and performance goals
- Actively inspire a shared vision, model a values-based approach and create a culture in which new ways of working are encouraged and enabled
- Lead by example and consistently with the RCH values
- In collaboration with the RCH Nursing community and campus partners identify Nursing workforce improvement initiatives models and opportunities
Your skills and experience:
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) as administered through AHPRA
- Postgraduate qualification – in Nursing, Health Management, or related field. (Master level desired)
- Strong experience in health service operations management and strategy, including clinical and business management and reporting
- Proven capacity for leadership in a team environment and ability to work well as a senior member of the team responsible for operational and people management activities
- Extensive knowledge and proven ability to manage and lead effectively within a large complex health service
