As part of Isaac Regional Council’s ongoing commitment to Australian Apprenticeships and Traineeships, applications are invited for the position of Apprentice Civil Construction Plant Operations based in Clermont.
Becoming an apprentice with Isaac Regional Council will not only provide you with a nationally recognised qualification, it will also allow you to work alongside skilled Operators and Team Leaders, focusing on (but not limited to) projects covering areas such as construction and road maintenance, road construction, drainage, pipelines and recreation works.
A typical day on the job could see you:
- Conducting Civil Construction; operating front end loader, roller, grader and specialised machinery
- Operating small plant and equipment
- Using hand and power tools
- Carrying out concrete and excavation work
- Reading and interpret plans and job specifications
