About the Role:
As a Mechanical Apprentice, you will undertake a structured 4 year apprenticeship and experience extensive on-the-job and off-the-job training, mentoring and support to develop your practical skills and knowledge whilst earning a nationally accredited qualification.
You will have the opportunity to learn and operate a variety of heavy engineering machines including a 35 metre long Lathe, which is the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere, a 9 metre Schiess used since the 2nd world war, a CNC Innocenti Floor Borer and a brand new state-of-the-art Uniport 6000 high speed CNC Gantry Mill with CAD/CAM simulation.
Whilst you will rotate through each of our departments, you will predominately work within a small team in the heavy machining department with a supervisor who is passionate about training the next generation of tradespeople.

- Successful completion of minimum year 10 education;
- Aged between 16 and 25;
- Be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident

- Submit a resume that outlines your achievements and experience to date; and
- Submit a copy of your most recent school report.
