James Stewart Horticultural Services is proud to be offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and passionate individual to commence a Parks and Gardens Certificate III apprenticeship working and learning with a boutique family run business that has operated in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne for 30 years. Our high end maintenance business provides our employees to learn skills that will enrich their knowledge and capabilities for the future.

The successful candidate will work full time - 4 days a week onsite, 1 day attending Tafe , completing the Certificate 3 in Parks and Gardens within 3 years.

- the role requires an enthusiastic and self motivated person with a passion for plants , gardens and nature, they will work well in a team, communicate well, have a positive attitude, follow instructions and be engaged to learn, punctual, reliable and consistent

- the successful applicant will be working within a small team and supported by experienced staff

- duties will include, weeding, mowing, edging, planting, mulching, pruning, hedge trimming and topiary, plant identification, turf maintenance and installation, tree maintenance, small irrigation repair, maintenance and installation, pests and disease recognition and management, physical work, machine use and occasional heavy lifting

- current drivers license an advantage
